Billy "BD" Downs, Founder of BD's Mongolian Grill, has qualified for the Ironman World Championship to be held October 11th, in Kona, Hawaii. The Ironman distance is 140.6 miles including 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, and a marathon run of 26.2 miles. BD has competed in over 30 triathlons and four Ironman's over the past seven years. He qualified for Kona with an impressive 11 hour 17 min finish at the CEO Challenge at Ironman Canada on August 24th.

"I am so excited to go to Kona. This is has been a long term goal of mine, and I feel so lucky to be able to go!" (BD)

BD will be competing against the best triathletes in the world at Kona. He will also be competing against some of the world's fastest CEO's. The winner of the CEO CHALLENGE, will be crowned the fittest CEO in the world.

BD founded BD's Mongolian Grill in 1992. The company has 34 restaurants in 11 states and Mongolia. BD is supported by his wife of 17 years, Amy and their three children Amanda, Abigail and Brendan.
